I don't remember when I ate a bagel for the first time in my life.
But, I used to eat lots of them when I was in the States.

I think that it was quite easy to buy a good bagel in the US and that there were so many stores I could buy good bagels that I didn't have to choose the place to buy bagels.

However, I realized that it's not that easy to find "good" bagel in Japan.

It's probably a matter of preference, but it cannot be too chewy, too hard, or too fluffy.

And finally, I think I found the best one fo far.

Look at the pink one!
This kind of color reminds me of the food in the US.
Japanese people don't tend to choose this vivid color for food even if it's natural coloring.

I bought this pink "Unicorn" bagel because I thought my son would love it.

This bagel place "NEW YORK CLUB" is located at Azabujuban. ->official website
They also have a store at Jiyugaoka.

So, I went back.

And this purple one with sesame is purple sweet potato.

They also make bagel sandwiches.
If my office is close to this store, I would definitely go buy a sandwiche for my lunch.

Azabujuban is an international area in Tokyo, so the menu is bilingual.

If you like bagel, this is where to go.
