I'm just trying to get my first son our of diapers with training pants.
He now knows that he needs to go to toilet when he pees or poops, but he sometimes cannot make it.

What he needs now is the training pants.





What he's using right now is 6-layer training pants that's thick enough not to leak it out of pants.
It does keep pee for one time inside of the pants.



And below are what I bought for him and I will use for the 2nd son as well.

6-layer structure training pants / 80,90,95,100cm / 1,199yen for two

My first son is relatively big and he now weighs 17kg, so his pants size is 100cm.
If your child is not that big, here are some other choices.

By the way, when he started to his potty training, I left him without pants or diaper, half naked in the house.
Without pants or diaper, he let me know he needed to go pee or poop although he didn't let me know and did in the pants when he was wearing training pants.

After this half naked training, he now wears training pants and still let us know when he needs to.
And this half naked method is pretty typical one in Japan and it works for my son.
